Hotbild: I blint raseri
21/12/11 || Habakuk
Do you like Crust? Do you like Sweden? Do you like a touch of black
metal? Do you like bands that use black-and-white album covers and
gothic font logos?
Well, here is something you might enjoy. Hotbild, a meanwhile apparently
defunct band combining all the aforementioned elements into a four song
EP (+ outro), spit bile and hatred into the listeners ear and support
it with a punkish d-beat frenzy.
And although one might think a black metal influenced crust EP needed to sound like total shit, Hotbild instead went for a meaty, thick low-end production job on “I blint raseri” and thus kick guts from start to finish. Their sound is balanced enough to also make the raspy black metal vocals fit into the picture perfectly. So, if you’ve ever been looking for a more moshpit-friendly version of black metal, I highly suggest you check out Hotbild’s song Krossade drömmar and impale yourself on your fellow mosher’s spiked wristband.
8.5/10: Raah!
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
